Course Description

This one-day masterclass, delivered over two half days, provides early career technical leaders with essential foundations. Through practical tools, interactive exercises and peer learning, participants will explore what it means to lead, build confidence and manage the transition into their first leadership role with clarity and resilience.  

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:- 

• Recognise the key shifts in moving from peer to leaders and begin to shape own leadership identity   

• Build confidence and credibility as a new leader by understanding their strengths and areas for growth 

• Communicate with clarity and purpose across different audiences 

• Delegate tasks effectively, overcoming barriers to letting go and building trust within the team 

• Apply practical time management strategies to balance technical and leadership responsibilities 

• Develop reflective habits to support growth in the role of first time leader
