2024 will mark the 17th annual Recently Independent Virology Researchers (RIVR) meeting of
UK/Ireland-based virology researchers in their first years of research independence. This symposium
provides unique opportunities to virologists from multidisciplinary fields to discuss their experiences,
present contemporary research, develop research ideas and foster key collaborations. In recognition of
the value of research networking, the RIVR meeting provides flexible opportunities for these
conversations to continue, enabling shared learning and establishment of new research opportunities
and collaboration.
