Project Management for Technicians Programme

A cohort Project Management programme that will introduce practical tools and techniques that are relevant to technical staff and their workplace.

Course Description

This programme enables technicians and technical staff to explore and develop your project management skills. This offers a cohort approach for delegates who are interested in getting an introduction to new workplace practices and tools. It is also for those who have some understanding of project management but want to have this refreshed. This is all done within the context of the role of technicians.  

Learning outcomes:

• Gain practical tools and techniques relevant to technical staff and settings. 

• Benefit from a blended approach of presentations, activities, theories, group problem solving, sharing top tips between peers and self-reflection. 

• Explore project management principles relevant to the technical work environment. 

• Course content is rooted in the technical workplace; this is what differentiates it from other project management courses. 

For technical staff who are new to project management, allowing them to develop skills amongst technical colleagues. Designed for technical professionals who have one, or more, packages of work to manage and deliver. 

Format:

26 hours of workshops across 5 dates (online and in-person) with an additional 10 hours for 'applied learning'.

Session 5 | Wednesday 10 June 2026 | 9.30pm - 4.00pm | In-person

There will be 15 minutes of prework and reading before the various sessions. You will need to have access to a laptop with operational microphone and camera. This is a camera-on programme.

Certificates will be issued to all delegates completing the course.

Please note: travel expenses are not covered for the in-person event.
