Technical Leadership - Leading Self and Others

A 4-day cohort programme providing technical leaders at all levels with the skills and knowledge to lead self and others with clarity and effectiveness.   

Course Description

This cohort-based programme supports technical leaders at all levels to develop the confidence, clarity, and practical skills to lead themselves and others effectively. Across four interactive days, participants will explore what it means to lead in the technical environment. Through experiential learning, reflection and peer collaboration, participants will strengthen how they lead themselves and others, developing confidence communication and influence while building sustainable habits for resilience and impact.  

The programme is aimed at Technical Leaders at all levels who have not attended a full leadership programme before and want to be part of a multi-disciplinary group to actively learn with peers.  

The programme is delivered online with one in-person event at a Midlands based venue.

Course Dates:

Session 1 | Thursday 19 March 2026 | 9.30am – 4.00pm | Online 

Session 2 | Tuesday 14 April 2026 | 9.30am – 4.00pm | Online 

Session 3 | Wednesday 6 May 2026 | 9.30am – 4.00pm | Online  

Session 4 | Tuesday 9 June 2026 | 9.30am – 4.00pm | In Person 

This constitutes 26 hours of training plus up to 1 hour between sessions.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:- 

• Define their leadership identity and explore what kind of leader they want to be 

• Use strengths intentionally to build credibility and trust in your environment 

• Apply communication and delegation strategies that empower others and drive ownership 

• Understand team dynamics and how to create conditions for performance 

• Approach difficult conversations with confidence  

• Influence across boundaries and lead through ambiguity with authenticity and purpose 

• Develop strategies for maintaining wellbeing and resilience  

Certificates will be issued to all delegates completing the course.
