Leading Through Adversity and Change

A one-day masterclass providing technical leaders with essential knowledge and tools to navigate leading their teams in times of uncertainty and change.   

Course Description

The higher education and research landscape is shifting rapidly, and technical leaders are often at the forefront of guiding teams through uncertainty, restructuring, and evolving priorities. This one-day masterclass equips leaders with the tools to understand change dynamics, communicate with clarity, and support themselves and their teams during turbulent times. Participants will explore practical strategies for building resilience, leading without all the answers, and maintaining focus and trust in times of change. 

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:- 

• Understand the dynamics of change and why individuals and teams respond differently 

• Recognise and address resistance, using supportive and constructive strategies 

• Apply structured approaches to problem solving when faced with incomplete or uncertain information 

• Communicate effectively and authentically to build trust, even when the future is unclear 

• Influence and maintain credibility without relying on authority alone 

• Develop resilience strategies for themselves and their teams to sustain performance through uncertainty

This 6hr masterclass is delivered over two half days:

Session 1 | Tuesday 10th March 2026 | 9.30am - 12.30pm

Session 2 | Thursday 16th April 2026 | 9.30am - 12.30pm

Digital certificates will be issued to all delegates completing the course.
