Detailed Description
This special Geographical Association event offers a unique opportunity to tour an exhibition of archive materials about the River Leen, a 15 mile river that runs through Nottingham, and then engage in a talk about the potential for geographical knowledge and skills to influence modern river management.
4.15-4.45 – Self-guided tour of the exhibition, Weston Gallery
4.45-5.45 – Talk with panel of geography lecturers including Dr Emily O’Donnell and exhibition curator Dr David Beckingham, Djanogly Theatre
Location: DH Lawrence Pavilion, Lakeside Arts, Nottingham (building number 49 on the linked campus map). Note this is not our usual venue of the School of Geography. Lakeside has its own car park, though with minibuses it might be easier to park in adjacent university car parks (which are free after 4pm). Please note the slightly earlier start time for the main lecture.
