After its long COVID hiatus, the Materials for Medical Devices Workshop (previously the Biomaterials Discovery Workshop) will return on Wednesday 24th January 2024 at the University of Nottingham.

The Materials for Medical Devices workshop is part of the £4 million EPSRC Large Grant ‘Designing Bio-instructive materials for translation-ready medical devices’, and its aim is to promote discussion around the use novel materials in medical devices. On this occasion, the workshop will be a one-day, in-person meeting full of leading international invitees. Traditionally, this is well attended by academic and industrial delegates, with opportunities for interactive sessions where informal discussions can arise and information can be transferred, including networking dinner after the event.
