Electrosurgery and Surgery Stapling for the General Practitioner

This immersive, hands-on one-day workshop is divided into two parts: surgical energy devices and surgical staplers.

Part One focuses on the theory and clinical application of energy devices in veterinary surgery. Topics include monopolar and bipolar electrosurgery, advanced bipolar tissue-sealing technologies, and ultrasonic (harmonic) systems. Techniques and technologies will be explained and demonstrated, followed by the opportunity for participants to practice using each device in a safe and controlled setting. Emphasis will be placed on ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable operation of these tools.

Part Two covers the theory, indications, and safe use of surgical staplers in veterinary surgery. Similarly, this session includes demonstrations and hands-on practice, allowing participants to gain confidence in applying each stapler. The focus will remain on the safe and effective use of these devices for optimal surgical outcomes.
