Effective Communication Skills for Technical Staff

A one-day interactive workshop for technical staff who would like to explore how they can communicate more effectively.  The workshop will cover: having difficult conversations, assertiveness skills and presenting information confidently within the technical workplace. 

Course Description

Learn and practice new communication skills for the technical professional.   This one-day careers workshop includes tools and techniques to help you influence and communicate at all levels.  Designed for UK technical professionals in Higher Education and research settings.

• Identify common communication challenges for technical staff 

• Analyse tools and techniques which support effective communication 

• Evaluate which techniques could work best for you 

• Practice using different communication techniques in a safe environment
