Detailed Description

Climate change has been amplified by the globalization of industry, and these rises have also been enabled by the presence of labour exploitation and modern slavery. In this talk using examples from research conducted at the University of Nottingham we will explore how modern slavery and climate change are linked, how their impacts affect global industries and supply chains – including for products we buy in the UK, and what innovative research methods and worker-led actions are being undertaken to end modern slavery whilst mitigating climate change.

School teachers are encouraged to bring A level students.

Please book tickets using your institution email address.
