German Level 2 - is aimed at learners with some previous basic knowledge of the language. 

This is the right level for you if:

• you have attended level 1 of our Evening Class programme or a beginners course elsewhere 
• you have completed approximately 80 hours of previous study (40 hours contact time and 40 hours personal study) 
• you studied the language some time ago and feel you need a refresher 
• you have level A1 (or equivalent) on the CEFR

Course Description

 

Learning outcomes:  The learning outcomes for level 2 are equivalent to a low level A2 of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference), guidelines used across Europe to describe achievements of learners of foreign language. 

Progression: After completion of the whole of level 2 (term 1 and 2), students are ready to move on to Level 3 next year. 

 

Resources to support the course include on-line materials which will be made available by the tutor. The course structure is in line with Panorama (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) Kursbuch A1.2. It is highly recommended that students obtain a copy of the book to assist them with their independent study at home.
