Practical Rabbit Dentistry (20% Alumni/Clinical Associate Discount)

This practical, Master class course will focus on all aspects of rabbit dentistry to give the delegate a thorough understanding of the pathophysiology and management of rabbit dental disease. A combination of PowerPoint presentation and extensive cadaver practical sessions will guide the delegate from first presentation through diagnosis and treatment of the rabbit patient. Controversies in management will be discussed.

Course Description

Topics to be covered include:

• Dental examination in the conscious and anaesthetised rabbit
• Radiographic interpretation of the rabbit skull
• Regional anaesthesia of the skull
• Dentistry including coronal reduction, incisor and molar extraction

Learning Objectives:

• The pathophysiology of dental disease and its influence on management
• Identify the normal skull radiograph and radiographic signs of dental disease
• Perform dental nerve blocks
• Perform coronal reduction
• Perform oral and surgical extraction of molars and incisors


Required Delegate Attributes:

This course is designed for veterinary surgeons with all levels of experience. It will provide invaluable experience for both those who are new to rabbit dentistry and those veterinary surgeons wanting to gain further experience and improve their dentistry techniques.
